Weight Loss

Medically-Supervised Weight Loss ProgramTape Measurer

We would like to assist you in your weight loss journey with FIT Weight Loss & More.  Our medically supervised program will provide you with tools to accomplish your weight loss goals—quickly and safely.

Your program begins with a diet consultation, a comprehensive blood panel, and an electrocardiogram to determine the best course of action for your body and lifestyle.  Each week you will be weighed, have your body mass index (BMI) evaluated, blood pressure and heart rate checked, and be given your supplement injection.  The program also includes approved appetite suppressants and fat burners.  A basic exercise regimen, which is an important component of a successful weight loss program, will also be discussed with you.

Phase I: Is the acute weight loss phase with a restrictive diet and personal weight loss plan, which lasts until your desired weight loss is attained.

Phase II: Is the transitional phase, during which you will slowly discontinue your medication and are introduced to a higher caloric diet and increased exercise regimen.

Phase III: Is the long-term maintenance phase, during which you will remain at your ideal body weight using the foundation learned throughout the program.

Our program requires a weekly scheduled visit to talk about your progress and receive your weekly order of appetite suppressants and supplementary injections.  We take great pride in our program and look forward to becoming your weight loss team.

FIT Tools for SuccessFIT Tools for Success

1. In order to determine the best course of action for your body and lifestyle, your first visit includes the following:

  • an assessment of your current weight, BMI, and health status
  • a consultation to learn about your desires and lifestyle, and to set goals
  • a comprehensive blood panel and an electrocardiogram

2. Your health representatives will then suggest a plan that includes an appetite suppressant (prescription or natural agents); weekly injections of B6 or B12; mineral and vitamin; fat burners; fluid and food intake guidelines; an exercise plan and weekly check-ins that monitor your weight, blood pressure, heart rate, BMI and overall wellbeing.

3.  With your individual weight-loss plan and the support of your FIT team and colleages, you will establish new eating and exercise habits a part of your permanent lifestyle. This is critical for long-term success with any weight loss program and to prevent gaining the weight back.

Appetite Suppressants

Upon qualification into the program, Dr.  Louis Bolen may prescribe an appetite suppressant that best suits your needs.  The following are brief descriptions of the appetite suppressants we use.
IMPORTANT: If you begin any new medication, contact our office immediately.  Do not stop this medication abruptly; stopping abruptly could result in depression and/or fatigue. Taper off as directed by your FIT Health Advisers.

Pharmaceutical AgentsTaking Appretite Suppressant

1. Phendimetrazine Tartrate 35mg

This is an oral appetite suppressant and a sympathomimetic amine, which is similar to an amphetamine.  It stimulates the central nervous system (nerves and brain), which increases your heart rate and blood pressure and decreases your appetite.

Contra indications for the use of this medication are:
• Severe hypertension
• Hyperthyroidism
• Severe heart disease
• Close angle glaucoma
• Mental Disorders (schizophrenia, etc)
• History of drug abuse
• Those under age 12
• Women who are pregnant or breast-feeding

2. Phentermine Hydrochloride — 37.5 mg

This is a sympathomimetic amine with pharmacological activity similar to amphetamines used in obesity treatment.  Actions include central nervous system stimulation which results in elevation of blood pressure and heart rate and decrease in appetite. Phentermine hydrochloride is indicated as a short-term (a few weeks) adjunct in a regimen of weight-reduction based on exercise, behavioral modification and caloric restriction in the management of exogenous obesity for patients with an initial body mass index greater than 30 or greater than 25 in the presence of other risk factors (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia).

Contra indications for the use of this medication are:
• Advanced arteriosclerosis
• Cardiovascular disease
• Moderate to severe hypertension
• Hyperthyroidism
• Known hyper-sensitivity or idiosyncrasy to the sympathomimetic amines
• Glaucoma
• Agitated states
• History of drug abuse
• Those under age 12
• Women who are pregnant or breast-feeding

Natural Agents

Caralluma With Green Tea

Caralluma fimbriata is a succulent plant in the cactus family that has been used as a natural appetite suppressant in India for centuries.  It’s a new arrival in the family of cactii and succulent plants that are becoming increasingly popular for their appetite suppressant, weight loss properties, and their ability to lower blood sugar. More than a decade’s worth of research about the health benefits of green tea—particularly its potential to fight cancer and heart disease—has been more than intriguing, as have limited studies about green tea’s role in lowering cholesterol, burning fat, preventing diabetes and stroke, and staving off dementia.

B6 & B12 Injections & Calcium Pyruvate

FIT VITAMIN B6 & B12 INJECTIONS (including MIC, also known as the Lipo Shots)

FIT Weight Loss & More offers vitamin B-12 or vitamin B6 injections as part of our weight-loss programs. These shots give you more energy and boost your metabolism, helping you shed unwanted pounds, and both include MIC.

  • Vitamin B12 (cobalamin), helps suppress the appetite, and stimulates the utilization of proteins, fat and carbohydrates in the body. Many people who receive B12 injections feel more energized and may exercise more, which could lead to weight loss.
  • Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) can help you shed water weight and burn additional calories throughout the day. B6 injections should be used in conjunction with a diet and training plan—helping you to lose weight just a bit faster than you would otherwise. B6 is a water-soluble vitamin necessary for more than 100 enzymes in the metabolism of protein. B6 is essential to the function of your nervous and immune system and is necessary in the metabolism of red blood cells. When caloric intake is low, your body needs B6 to help convert stored carbohydrates and other nutrients to glucose to maintain normal blood sugar levels. B6 is used to decrease stress, fatigue, headaches, and low blood sugar.
  • MIC (Methionine, Inositil, Choline) also known as the Lipo Shot. MIC helps with weight loss by breaking down and utilizing fats in the body by transporting them out of the cells and decongesting the liver. Methionine is an amino acid that speeds up the removal of fat within the liver and relieves fatigue. Inositil and Choline are parts of the B complex family.

FAT BLOCKER

Calcium Pyruvate aids your body in turning sugars and starches into fuel to power your quick weightloss. It also helps give you endurance for exercise allowing you to achieve strength.
